WillkommenWelcome

Moose wachsen leise.Mosses grow quietly.

They don't run away, they are patient and faithful to their sites – and the longer you linger in a mossy place, the more there is to discover.

This is precisely the fascination I want to pass on. In talks, seminars and workshops I show how much diversity, beauty and ecological significance lies in these small plants that seem unremarkable only at first glance. And wherever expert recording is needed, I contribute my species knowledge to mapping and survey projects.

My aim is to make science approachable – well-founded, but without any fear of contact. Because mosses are not only a fascinating field of study, they are also a wonderful way to slow down and regain an eye for the small things.

Für Neugierige, Vereine und FachstellenFor the curious, for associations and for specialists

01

Whether for a conservation association, an adult education centre or a specialist audience – my talks bring the world of mosses to life. From the question of why a moss cushion outperforms a golf lawn, through the site specificity and indicator function of individual species, to the astonishing diversity of this second-largest group of land plants. I adapt topic and depth to your audience.

02

SeminareSeminars

My seminars go deeper: structured, hands-on and with room for questions. Ideal for anyone who wants to engage systematically with ecology, botany and mosses in particular – in adult education, for associations, or as a module within professional training.

03

BestimmungsworkshopsIdentification workshops

Not all mosses are alike. In my identification workshops you learn to look more closely: we work with hand lens and microscope, distinguish mosses, liverworts and hornworts, and approach species identification step by step. Whether you are putting a moss under the lens for the first time or already have some knowledge you want to build on – we start exactly where you are.

FotosafarisPhoto safaris

Mosses are tiny works of art – you just have to know where to look. On my photo safaris I lead you to the most beautiful and unusual moss structures and show you what the naked eye often misses: delicate leaflets, luminous spore capsules, whole miniature landscapes on a few square centimetres. And the best part: the magic of the small needs no expensive equipment – a smartphone and a hand lens are enough for fascinating shots. I provide the subjects, the eye for detail and the knowledge of what you actually have in front of your lens. Ideal for anyone who wants not just to see nature, but to truly discover it.

KartierungenSurveys & mapping

For nature conservation authorities, planning offices and other clients I carry out bryophyte surveys and mapping. Drawing on in-depth species knowledge, I record populations reliably and document them transparently – as a basis for monitoring, expert reports and conservation decisions. Main area of operation: southern Lower Saxony; assignments further afield by arrangement.

E-Learning & digitale UmweltbildungE-learning & digital environmental education

Knowledge about mosses can also come alive in digital learning. As an author of the e-learning introductory course “Mosses” of the NABU|naturgucker Academy, I develop learning content that combines scientific accuracy with accessible communication.

Über michAbout me

Biologin, Landschaftswissenschaftlerin, ReferentinBiologist, landscape scientist, lecturer

Was mich antreibt?
